Our Sustainable series are wines sustainably grown using biodynamic farming. Our aim is to reduce our resource use by the integration of natural farming systems in our vineyards to provide a more long-term sustainably balanced and diverse farming system that can continue to produce award-winning wines.
The Tractorless Vineyard Sustainable Series includes our Riesling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Rose and Lost Flock.
riesling
Riesling originated in the Rhine region of Germany, and is an aromatic grape variety displaying flowery aromas and high acidity. Our Riesling is light straw in colour, with ripe citrus peel aromas, complimented by a palate of lime and lemon fruits balanced by a fresh finish. We created this wine to be cellared for years which means it has a strong acid structure enhanced by a solid textured palate. Those who enjoy a young zippy style will appreciate this wine in its youth.
pinot gris
chardonnay
Chardonnay is a variety that lends itself to a wide range of winemaking techniques. This allows our winemaking team to guide the wine through various stages of production. Our Chardonnay is a perfect balance between vanilla, butter, grapefruit, mango and creamy patisseries. The Tractorless Chardonnay is a throwback to the classic buttery oaky Chardonnays of the 80s and 90s, with a balanced modern-age freshness.
lost flock
A blend of 5 different grape varieties that change depending on the season and the characters desired. Soft, fluffy tannins drift you through the palate past interesting flavours of vanilla, chocolate, plum, spice, strawberry and cherries before you’re left with long lingering raspberry finish. Designed to be complex enough to make your mind drift into the earth vineyard soils, but at the same time soft and rich, making the perfect comfort companion.
